With the clients having ties to the neighborhood and the east coast, it was our objective to design a contemporary home which still felt rooted in historic relevance to both of those connections.  A nod to revival architecture gives this home a balanced and prominent appearance while still cohering to its surroundings.

Set on a busy street, part of the design was focused on technical elements and planning in order to protect site entry/exit, reduce sounds and orient common spaces towards the backyard, which incorporates a large covered patio and pool. 

In addition to the main house, a secondary unit was designed to exist over the garage while still appearing as a part of the whole structure.
